The popularity of living in gated, or private communities and custom homes by a specialty developer has been rising in recent years. In the past, gated communities were considered as accessable to only the financially independent. Today, gated and lifestyle communities are increasing in popularity for middle and upper middle class families as are custom homes, which appeal to the particular wants and needs of the home buyer.
